Costing US$8.98 million, the LISA project will solve the bottleneck of button lithium battery technology

The overall goal of the project It designs and manufactures a lithium-sulfur battery to improve the safety of electrification applications of electric vehicles.
LISA has improved the safety of high-energy-density lithium-sulfur batteries, and its solid-state non-flammable composite electrolytes (hybrid solid state non-flammable electrolytes) have been verified in 20Ah-class batteries. LISA will solve the problem of lithium metal protection, power and battery volumetric energy density (volumetric energy density) and other technical bottlenecks of lithium-sulfur batteries, and is committed to reducing its cost, thereby reducing the cost of the entire electric vehicle. The project will evaluate the sustainability of the technology from the perspective of environmental protection and economics .
LISA positions the research and development of lithium metal protection and solid electrolytes and integrates process concepts into future manufacturing lines. In addition, the project will start from new materials, components, cells and processes, and hopes to apply this technology to lithium-ion batteries and In solid-state lithium batteries.
To this end, the LISA project has a profound impact on current and future electric vehicle batteries, making their energy density far beyond the theoretical capacity of chemical materials. After all, natural graphite, cobalt or silicon-based chemical materials will suffer from manufacturability (processability, manufacturability) limitations.
